In order for our cells to develop, proliferate and perform their functions (shrink in the heart, transmit signals in the brain and all their other functions), the proteins inside the cells need to communicate with each other."

"As the event's photographer for the cell, my camera is a huge magnet the size of an average room, with a magnetic field 300,000 times larger than that of the Earth. The magnet is so powerful, it can disrupt the operation of credit cards and smartphones."
